Irwin Cohen specializes in protecting professionals, executives and business owners from the financial downsides created by an unexpected disability or the need for long-term care. His “passion for protection” is a result of 28 years’ experience working with clients, some of whom have unfortunately become too sick or injured to work. Those who prepared, fared far better than those who did not.

Irwin is an specialist who works with select insurance carriers to provide high quality disability income and long-term care solutions. His expertise has earned him the distinction of being a four-time speaker at the annual meeting of the Million Dollar Round Table, an international organization representing the top three percent of all financial professionals in the world. Irwin is a widely published author on the subjects of long-term care insurance and disability income protection.

Irwin provides his clients with an expertise and perspective that helps them to become more financially educated, organized and prepared. His goal is to provide them with peace of mind with the knowledge that their families are provided for in the event of serious illness, injury or the necessity of long term care.

He is endorsed by the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Dental Association, and Illinois State Medical Society to offer insurance services to their professional membership.

Irwin and his wife, Melissa, and their daughter, Mira, make their home in South Elgin, Illinois. Though family and clients come first, boating is a close second. When not helping his clients with financial solutions, Irwin and his family are boating enthusiasts. Irwin is the proud captain of a 39 foot Carver motor yacht – the “I Love Lisa”, and weather permitted, most weekends would find Irwin piloting his yacht on the scenic Illinois River.
